The local repo db synthesized by arch-repo-add.py recorded %ISIZE% as the sum of every regular file in the package, including the .BUILDINFO and .MTREE metadata members. libalpm validates a synced package by summing the install sizes from its .MTREE (installed files only) and comparing against the db's %ISIZE%; the over-counted db value never matched, so libalpm rejected every package as "invalid or corrupted" — even though the on-disk file:// copy was byte-for-byte identical to the source (verified) and `pacman -U` of the same file installed cleanly (it skips the sync install-size cross-check). For tree: db recorded 102564, libalpm computed 96252 (89384 binary + 6868 man page); the 6312-byte gap was exactly .BUILDINFO + .PKGINFO + .MTREE. Exclude the .PKGINFO/.BUILDINFO/.MTREE metadata files from the isize sum so the db matches libalpm's mtree-derived size. Also fix the .PKGINFO match to strip a leading "./" prefix rather than misusing lstrip (which would also eat the leading dot of dotfiles). Flip the pacman-sync test SKIP -> a real PASS check.
